Old Ironsides, officially known as the USS Constitution, was finally launched in 1797 after getting stuck in the mud on 9/20. Edison turned on the first electric light bulb in Menlo Park, NJ today in 1879. Camel cigarettes were introduced by R.J. Reynolds in 1913. Frank Lloyd Wright's Guggenheim Museum opened in NY. The obscenity trial of "Lady Chatterley's Lover" started in London and lasted six days with the acquittal of Penguin Books. In 1805 Admiral Horatio Nelson won the Battle of Trafalgar, but was shot dead. Also dead: Jack Kerouac, Francois Truffault and James Leo Herlihy. Toasting birthdays: Samuel Taylor Coleridge, Alfred Nobel, Dizzy Gillespie, Judge Judy Sheindlin, Benny Netanyahu and Carrie Fisher.
